Jun.17

Two days ago I saw the preview of the movie, Nobody Knows, directed by Hirokazu Kore'eda, which will be released in August. Yuya Yagira, the teenage lead actor in the film, won the best actor award at the 57th Cannes Film Festival. This is a very good movie. It poses a question about what is the responsibility of the adults, including you and me, who saw this movie in an armchair. I think this may be the most excellent Japanese movie this year.

By the way, Takanobu Kinjo and I finished writing the paper, Narrative Responsilility: Reinterpretation of Moral Dilemmas in Bioethics, which will be submitted to a bioethics journal. We proposed the new concept, "narrative responsibility" that is not so popular in this field.

I think of translating Painless Civilization little by little, so please visit us from time to time.
